Loaded masala ladyfinger recipe

Is there a difference between Okra and ladyfinger?


Yes, there is just two scientific name difference between them, okra is used in the US and Philippines while other countries use ladyfinger


Ingredients for loading masala ladyfinger:

1. Ladyfingers (bhindi) 400gm

2. Dried red chili - 3 pieces

3. Coriander seeds - 2 tablespoon

4. Cumin seeds - 1/2 (half tablespoon)

5. Dry mango powder - 2 tablespoon

6. Turmeric powder- 1 tablespoon

7. Salt to taste

8. Oil - 2 tablespoon

 


Method :

 

Step1 : 

First of all clean, ladyfingers and wipe them with a kitchen cloth to make it fully dry. Remove equally half a centimeter from both ends and give a slit in between of both ends.


Step2 : 

Mix dried red chili, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, dry mango powder, turmeric powder and salt in a mixer, give it a mixing for 2 to 3 minutes 


Step 3: 

Load this masala in the slit space of ladyfinger. Keep aside the left over masala and cut onions into dice shape.


Step 4: 

Put mustard oil in the pan and let it cook to temper its pungency. Then onions , leftover masala and loaded ladyfingers in the pan


Step 5:

Cook at least for 10 to 15 minutes till it gets tender 


Step 6:

One of the most important steps. Enjoy!
